Wayne Rostad has been called 'Canada's Storyteller'. He is without a doubt one of the most
commanding and compelling performers anywhere. He takes to the stage with his guitar in
hand, a powerful one-man show that keeps audiences spellbound and in stitches with his songs
and stories, humour and passion. He possesses that very rare and special abiltiy to make
everyone feel that he is singing for them and them alone. He is a country singer/songwriter
with a style completely his own.
On stage, Wayne has worked with Johnny Cash, Ricky Scaggs, Charlie Pride, Loretta Lynn,
The Bellamy Brothers and Emmylou Harris, to name a few ...and he has had the great privilege
of opening for such greats as Waylon Jennings and Roy Orbison.
His travels with his television show, 'On The Road Again' have given Wayne a unique
understanding and perspective of Canada and its people, making him exceptional among
Wayne is a strong community activist, who has helped raise millions of dollars for The
Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and The Ottawa Heart Institute.
Wayne is a member of the Order of Canada. He received this distinction for his strong
committment to the people in his own backyard and to the communities across Canada.
Wayne is currently working on his new CD release scheduled for late summer 2008!
And one more important thing ...Wayne loves horses!! One of his favourite cowboy
heroes growing up was Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger.
